WHAT'S IN YOUR GLOVE COMPARTMENT?
No, This is Not a Capital One Commercial
Glove compartment? Who keeps gloves in their car's glove compartment, especially in Florida. So if we don't keep gloves in there, what should we keep in the car's glove compartment? Unfortunately, many people don't carry the right stuff in their glove compartment in the event of a car accident.
Things that you should have in your glove compartment if you are involved in a car accident:
- Pen and small memo pad to write down license plate numbers, insurance policy numbers, names and address and telephone numbers of witnesses. A fill-in-the-blank accident information form is also very handy. I have prepared one and would be happy to give one to anyone who wishes to have one in their vehicle.
- A list of your medical conditions and allergies in the event you are unable to communicate with rescue personnel after a car accident.
- A disposal camera to take photos of the property damage and accident scene. A cell phone camera works as well, but it is easier just to hand the disposable camera to your attorney for development.
- Of course, your car registration and insurance information.
- Emergency contact names and telephone numbers.
I hope you never need to use any of these, but it is better to be prepared if you are in a car accident.
