Happy Cinco de Mayo! Whether it is because it is your buddy’s birthday or Cinco de Mayo, there is reason to celebrate today. However, if you have too many margaritas, don’t drive. Call AAA’s Tow to Go instead.
Like on other holidays, members and non-members can call their local AAA, and they will send a tow truck to give you a free confidential ride and a free tow within a 10 mile radius. The service will be available through 6 a.m. Friday.
There are a few rules that you need to know:
1. Tow trucks can take up to two people home. If there are more people in your party, you will need to make other arrangements to get home safely.
2. You can’t make an appointment to use the Tow to Go service, it is designed to be used as a last resort. So choose a designated driver before you have your first drink.
3. It may be necessary, in certain situations, for AAA to contact a cab company to assist with getting an impaired individual a safe ride home.
Celebrate your friend’s birthday or Cinco de Mayo, but do it safely. To request AAA’s Tow to Go service, call 855-286-9246.
